Repairing procedure

Safety First:
  • Unplug the dryer from the power source to avoid any electrical hazards.
  • Turn off the water supply to the dryer.
Access the Water Valve:
  • The water valve is usually located at the back of the dryer.
  • Move the dryer away from the wall to access the back panel.
  • Remove the back panel by unscrewing the securing screws.
Prepare for Valve Removal:
  • Locate the water valve; it’s where the water inlet hose connects to the dryer.
  • Place a towel or a shallow pan under the valve area to catch any water that may drip out when you disconnect the hose.
Remove the Old Water Valve:
  • Disconnect the water inlet hose from the valve. You might need pliers to loosen the hose clamp.
  • Note the arrangement of any wires or connectors attached to the valve and disconnect them.
  • Remove the screws or bolts securing the valve to the dryer.
Install the New Water Valve:
  • Position the new valve where the old one was located.
  • Reattach any wires or connectors to the new valve, ensuring they are in the same arrangement as before.
  • Secure the valve to the dryer with screws or bolts.
  • Reconnect the water inlet hose to the valve and tighten the clamp.
Testing the Dryer:
  • Before reattaching the back panel, turn on the water supply and plug in the dryer.
  • Run a test cycle with the steam function to ensure the new valve is working correctly and there are no leaks.
Final Reassembly:
  • If the test is successful and there are no leaks, turn off the dryer and unplug it.
  • Reattach the back panel and secure it with screws.
  • Move the dryer back into its original position.
Safety and Maintenance Check:
  • Double-check that there are no tools or spare parts left inside or behind the dryer.
  • Plug in the dryer and turn on the water supply.
